He is still a really happy baby. He smiles most of the day. Laughs when you snuggle on him. He loves watching big brother in action.
Lately he has been rolling all over the place. I can no longer leave him on the floor in the living room for a quick minute and expect him to be in the same place when I get back. He really enjoys rolling over to the ottoman and grabbing on to the fabric.
And Carter has enjoyed making his first forts by making a bridge of pillows in between the couch and ottoman. Lately he "hides" there for Dada to find him when he gets home from work. The other day while Carter was "hiding" Ben was rolling and Carter reached out to hold Ben's hand under the ottoman. How sweet. The picture doesn't really capture how cute it was.
Ben is now eating rice cereal for breakfast and we have started pear baby food too! So far so good. He isn't as loud an eater as his brother was...but he still seems to enjoy it.
He also still loves bathtime. Or really, I think his favorite part is the getting ready for bath time as this is when Dada gives him lots of scruffly zerberts on his tummy. He is sitting up pretty good in the tub - won't be long before we have 2 boys in the tub at the same time!
He is also doing really good in the sleep department. The last two nights he slept 7:30until 6:30. Fantastic. Could not be more happy about this. I don't think Carter slept through the night until 15 months, so it is a BIG deal for Ben to do this at 6 months. I know we will have setbacks - teething, growth spurts, sickness, etc. but it is great to have a couple of good nights sleep to recharge.
So that is a quick update of our little man. He is changing so fast!!!

ReplyDeletePretty good pictures of a pretty cute guy. Momma could do a little better in keeping the rice cereal in the mouth instead of on the chin.
